OKCPD Pioneering DFR Operations in Law Enforcement

Oklahoma City Police Department (OKCPD) has scaled their drone program over the past few years and recently became the first agency to successfully run a dock-based drone as a first responder (DFR) program at the Oklahoma State Fair in September 2023 and again in 2024. This video shows some of the ways OKCPD has implemented patrol-led DFR operations for shooting incidents, burglaries and overwatch during large events. The immense work Captain Bussert and Sgt.
